Cincinnati’s Bob Huggins turned the fashion world upside
down when he turned in the mock turtleneck look and went
with a combination of elegant suits and a stylish
three-piece. Huggins style change prompted the beginning
of what is now commonplace --- fashion smack talk. Bruiser
Flint said of Huggins new style, “When he wears the vest
he looks like an umpire with a chest-protector.”
That set the table for the Flint-Huggins National
Semi-Final showdown. Flint prevailed and went on to claim
the title of America’s “Most Fly,” a phrase Flint coined
during his verbal exchange with Huggins.
For the first time ever, assistant coaches took to the
stage with Wofford’s Mike Young taking home the honors.
